Process Automation

Business Continuity planning can be a very slow and resource hungry without the right tools for the job. Strategy has all of the tools you need:

  • Fully relational database (makes plan maintenance quick and easy)
  • Fast drag and drop linking of data (makes complex tasks easy)
  • Document management system (links with Microsoft Word for plan document management)
  • Document generation (automatic updating of plan documents with current database information - similar to mail merge)
  • Report Writer (standard reports + design and create your own)

For plan testing and for use during a real incident, Strategy's Scenario Wizard creates Just In Time (JIT) plans and reports containing only the information relevant to the scenario set.

Example 1: Fast Drag & Drop linking of data (locations from the bottom list to business functions in the top list).

Example 2: The property details for the Management Team's plan in the document manager.

Example 3: The Report Writer with the Available Skills report open for editing.

Example 4: The Scenario Wizard creating JIT plans and reports with only the information relevant to the scenario set.

Document Manager

The Document Manager manages and controls your business continuity plan document. This is a powerful and time saving tool enabling you to generate in minutes new up-to-date versions of your plans following changes to the tasks and resources identified.

In the Document Manager section of the Plan Wizard right mouse click on a team name. From the short cut menu displayed, select Generate. Microsoft Word will be opened, the template document supplied with Strategy will be loaded, and your particular information held in the Strategy database will be added automatically.

Report Writer

Over 100 standard reports are provided with the Strategy software Solution. If that is not enough, then with the Pro version you can write your own reports.

The standard reports are opened either directly from within a section in the Plan Wizard, or from the Reports section in the Plan Wizard.

An example from the Resource Requirements section.

Open the Resource Requirements section in the Plan Wizard and select the Requirements for Non-shared Resources section.

On the Strategy tool bar the Print and Print Preview buttons will be enabled. Left mouse click on the Preview button and the report will open in the right hand window.
